This card is for the Serendipity Challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot. This technique is done by tearing strips of paper and glueing them down, then running it through the cuttlebug and embossing them.

I made this card using La Creme paper. I tore it into strips and attached it onto white cardstock using my adhesive then ran it through the cuttlebug. The stamp set I used was Happy Harmony and I added some glitter to add some sparkle. I also added some pearls to the side of the main image.

Pink Elephant Challenge #5

The challenge at TPE this week is to use Pink, Green and Brown. These are great colors to put together, and I had lots of fun making this card. I couldn't resist using cardboard on this card. I have seen it on a few cards recently and just love the effect and the texture it adds.

The frame around the verse is actually made using nestabilites. The large oval was cut using the large oval nestabilitie then I embossed around it using the large oval to create a frame effect. I used a smaller oval for the verse and cut around it on Kraft paper to help it stand out a little more, then added some rhinestones.

I also used lots of paper piercing on the top of the card and added a small flower I cut out using my Cricut, layered on top of that with a K&Co. sticker. The leaves are cut out using a Martha Stewart punch.

Lavender and Lace!

I found this challenge by Whiff of Joy. The challenge for this week is Lavender and Lace. This is my first Whiff of Joy card. I love this image of this little girl. She looks so sweet and innocent.

This card was made using Papertrey Ink Cardstock and DP. I used nestabilties to cut out the scalloped rectangles and colored in the image using Watercolor Crayons from SU.

Masculine Birthday!

My husband and my oldest sons birthdays are on the 27th of this month and I need to make cards for them. I made this card for my husband.

This card was made using Papertrey Inks Cardstock that I received yesterday. I was so excited when I won a years supply of cardstock from Papertrey Ink on their Anniversary Giveaways, and when the UPS man came yesterday and left me a box full of paper I just knew that I had to use it today.

I love this color combo, and I also love this stamp set that I won from CPS. This stamp set is by Our Daily Bread. The DP on this card was from Basic Gray.

The sketch I used was from 2 Sketches 4 You. I rounded the corners of the card and layered Black cardstock and Kraft cardstock. I also cut out the top part of the lighthouse from white cardstock and sponged it using River Rock Ink from Su. The key I purchased from JoAnn for 40% off.

Card Details:
Cardtock: Black, White, Kraft
DP: Basic Gray
Accessories: Ribbon (Basic), Keys (JoAnn Essentials), Snaps
Stamps: Keep My Lamp Burning (Our Daily Bread)

Wrapped Up Pieces!

Here is a quick card I made for the SCS Color Challenge. I used the All Wrapped Up stamp set by Flourishes, and paper pieced it using Basic Grey DP. I also cut out the ribbon using Old Olive SU cardtock.

The base of the card is made using Papertrey Ink brown and white cardstock, and layering it with Basic Gray DP. I also used my sewing machine to stitch around it.

The to panel was made using my large rectangle Nestabilites and large rectangles, cutting the scalloped recatangle from Old Olive SU cardstock and the large rectangle from PI White Cardstock. I layered the white on brown and trimmed it to add a little more dimension to the layer.

I also added some ribbon and pearls.

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge # 20

What an exciting post. This is my first post as a DT member for The Cuttlebug Spot. This is a new adventure for me and one that I am enjoying very much.

This is a card with a spring flair to it. I have been very much in the mood for spring and these colors were beckoning me. When I found these papers from Chloe's Closet at Michael's I just coudn't resist.

I used the Top Note from SU and Oval Nestabilities. The ribbon is also from Chloe's Closet. The blue Top Note was run throught he Cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder, and the Orange oval was run with the same folder but with the paper upside down to get a little different texture. The apple was stamped onto white cardstock and cut out then the one half was also run through the cuttlebug.

The Pink Elephant Challenge

I am very happy and excited to be on the Design Team for The Pink Elephant. This card was made for Challenge #4. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun.

The base of this card was made using white cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I layered on top of that using Cranberry Crisp a retired color from SU. I ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder to add texture.
I used a scalloped edge punch for the bottom scallops layering Ripe Avocado by Papertrey Ink, and DP by K& CO. For the next layer I used my Sizzix Top Note Die Cut by SU and cut one from Ripe Avocado and the second one from the K&Co. dp, trimming it down a little so I could layer it. On the Top Note layer I used my Nestabilities Oval Dies layering the scalloped under the regular die.
I stamped this beautiful bird from the SU Always stamp set.
I found this beautiful ribbon the other day and just couldn't pass it up. I tied a large bow under the bird.
For the flower I used a flower button that I purchased on sale at Joann fabrics, under the button I added a flower that I cut using my Cricut and added some leaves I cut using the Martha Stewart leaf punch.
