Tempting Cupcakes!

The challenge for The Cuttlebug Spot this week is Double Embossing. This card was made using the double embossing on the main panel and also on the side panel. These colors just struck me this week, not sure why. This card is so bright and cheerful, makes me want to have a party. LOL!

After having two birthdays on Friday, I guess the birthday spirit was riding high. I used the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set from SU and paper pieced the cupcake papers and the stand. The icing was made using Liquid Applique and the cherries were colored using my Prismacolor markers. I also added the pearl dew drops around the edges.

High Hopes #17

I made todays card for the High Hopes Challenge #17. I decided to do a birthday card using the Verve cupcake set. I added some liquid applique to the top of the cupcake and before heating it I applied some glitter by Martha Stewart. After heating it came out looking like this. I like how it gave it a dimensional and sparkly look.

Card Details:
Cardstock: White (PI)
DP: Love Letters (Little Yellow Bicycle)
Stamps: Verve
Accessories: Rhinestones (Marcella K), Autumn Brads, Spring Butterflies (Jolee's Boutique), Ribbon, Chipboard (K&Co), Liquid Applique, Glitter (Martha Stewart)
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities (Rectangle, Rectangle Scallop)
Technique: Sponging, Liquid Applique, Embossing using Nesties, Sewing
