2 Sketches 4 You and Just Right Stamps!

I had so much fun making this card this week. We were so blessed to be able to use JustRight stamps. I used these fabulous monograms. They are so versatile and can be used for so much. I have so many ideas but no time to do them all.

Get Well Soon!

When I saw the challenge this week at Raspberry Suite, I just knew I had to try it. What a great color combo. These colors are sage, vintage cream, and black cardstock. This stamp set is one of my favorites. I just love the versatility of these adorable teapots. I love to see teapots setting around and have several different kinds in my kitchen. I used the gingham bg stamp by CHF and stamped it in a cream colored Stazon. The sentiment is stamped using Black Stazon. TFL!

Laura's Sketch and 2S4Y!

What a great sketch from Laura this week, and we also were able to use some great products by Clear Snaps. The stamp I used is the Mixed Dots roller. I stamped it using black ink and used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the butterflies. The top letters were stamped using JustRight Stamps.

I have been having problems with my computer. My mouse on my laptop has gone out and I am using an old mouse that isn't cooperating well. My email is not functioning properly and the only email I am getting is on my I-Phone. So frustrating... It seems I forget how much I rely on my computer until it goes wacky on me. LOL!

I want to request that everyone keeps the daughter of a friend of mine in their prayers. She is 17 months old and was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma that has mastisized in her brain and it is also in her bones. She is going through intense chemo and her and her family need lots of prayer.

I hope everyone has a great week and hopefully I will get time to post later this week.

What a Nightmare!

I decided to make a card today! Well, it didn't turn out so well. I couldn't find the stamp set I wanted, the kids kept interrupting me and things just weren't going as planned. This is the card that I finally ended up with. I love this paper and the lovely little cupcake. I hope everyone is having a great week.

The Ultimate Card Showdown Week #2 and Exciting News!

Happy Monday All! Wow, last week was AWESOME at 2S4Y! We had so many play along. There were so many fantastic submissions, it was great getting to see all the wonderful talent.

This wonderful sketch is from Kazan. What a fun sketch to work with. I used Teresa Collins DP for this card. The stitching was done using one of the fun stitches on my machine. I love using it for cards. (Now if I could just actually sew on material! LOL!!!)

Now for the EXCITING NEWS! I am soooooo thrilled to share with you. I submitted a card to Paper Crafts and it was accepted for submission. I can't wait. This is my first time being published and what an exciting adventure for me.

Life is Busy!

Wow, what a crazy week this has been. We have been waiting for the house to close, but it hasn't yet. The wait is driving me crazy. I have been packing, the kids are home from school for the summer, it isn't the best time of the month for stress anyway and yesterday I had three kids with stomach problems, YUCK!

I have been itching to get back to my blog so I decided to put on this card for the Color Throwdown challenge and also for Timeless Tuesday.

2 Sketches 4 You!

This week I had the wonderful opportunity at 2 Sketches 4 You to do the Bonus Sketch. This card was made for this sketch. To see it you can go to the 2 Sketches 4 You blog and join in on their challenge.

Our sponser this week was Starving Artist Stamps, and I really like this adorable rocking horse. I colored it using Prisma markers and I stamped the Harlequin bg stamp from SAS on the pink strip down the middle. The sentiment is also from SAS.

I made a second card using SAS, it was made using papers from K&Co.

Remember to put on your calender to join us at 2S4Y on June 1st for lots of fun and prizes.

A Sketch and The Pink Elephant!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! I hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL Memorial Day! We are having a cookout later and other outdoor activities with the kids.

This week at TPE, Robin has a great sketch. This is my take on the sketch. I stitched a half circle and added this sentiment from PI. Then added some rub-ons and the ribbon and primas. Just a quick simple card.

I love these colors from Papertrey Ink. They are so soft and elegant looking.

These last few months have been so hot and dry that things have begin turning brown, and it just hasn't looked the same around here. All the ponds and lakes have been drying out and water animals have been struggling in some areas to stay alive. However, this past week it has rained almost constantly it seems like and it has been such a BIG blessing. We have enjoyed all of the rain. As I was making this card it made me think of all the rain, these colors seem to speak of rainy days. I hope it continues to rain for at least a few more days, we need it...

Card Patterns Sketch and Color Throwdown!

Wow, what a week. My 7 year old started on Sat with an eye infection, has been to Urgent Care twice and is on three different meds for the infection. They don't really know what caused it but it is being stubborn and not wanting to completely go away. He has been out of school all week. My oldest was home Mon. and Tues. with a stomach bug, so needless to say stamping has been a little on the back burner this week. I made this card for the challenge at Card Patterns and for the color challenge at Color Throwdown. I didn't have any so saffron paper so I used this dp which is the closest I was able to come. The button is also close to So Saffron, but in the pic you can't really tell.

The Pink Elephant and A Color Challenge!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone, I sure hope you enjoyed your day yesterday. This card is made for TPE color challenge which is to use light blue, medium blue, and green. This dp fit perfectly and since I wanted to really showcase the paper I kept the card very simple. I sewed around the edges and added this cute sticker and ribbon. The sticker was layered over blue cardstock and I cut around it using my pinking sheers.

ODB and Caardvarks!

I have been wanting to stamp all week and actually started this card on Thurs. I finally finished it today. I think my mojo is being squished by all the craziness around here.

We have been house hunting and it can be quite a chore, trying to find the right place and it seems my mind has been so consumed with house hunting that my blog has taken quite a hit. I have meen MIA all week and am hoping that things can return to normal.

This card is for the ODB sketch and also for the Caardvarks challenge to use a verse/saying. I used ODB Keep My Lam Burning set and K&Co paper. The ribbon I purchased from No Time To Stamp. This ribbon is AWESOME, if you haven't checked out her site, check it out HERE!

The Pink Elephant!

This weeks challenge at The Pink Elephant is a recipe challenge. The recipe is using scallops, punches, and circles.

I used K&Co dp and all cardstock is by Papertrey Ink. The ribbon and cotton swatch are from No Time To Stamp. I sponged a little around the edges of the image to give it a more vintage feel.

The scalloped edges along the bottom was punched using a Martha Stewart punch and then I added some lace over it. In the top left I used the smallest circle from my nestabilities and layered over it with some buttons.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you had a great weekend.

This dp is from K&Co, and the sticker is also from K & Co. This fabulous ribbon is from No Time to Stamp. Thanks for stopping by.

Strawberry Limeade!

Summer is almost here and two of my favorite things are strawberries and lemon/limeade. This color combo was from the Color Challenge at SCS, and the sketch is from Card Patterns. I really enjoy sketches and this sketch with this color combo immediatly made me think of something summery. The dp I used here was from K&Co and the red was from a SU paper pack. The strawberries were clear embossed and cut from the same dp and pop dotted over the ribbon.

The Pink Elephant Sketch!

This week at The Pink Elephant it is a fun sketch. I used one of my favorite color combos on this card, and this paper by Basic Gray is one of my favorites, I love the pattern and decided to use it for the scallops instead of my normal scalloped punces or scalloped ribbon. I sewed the ribbon and added the sticker and buttons. The BG Kraft paper is cuttlebugged using the Swiss Dots folder.

Yes, it is another cherry card. I am not sure why but I have been into cherries lately. This stamp set by Tutti Frutti is definitly in my favs. The bg was stamped using the Fiskars set. I made this card for the 2Sketches4You sketch and for the Color Throwdown Challenge.

Simply Trees!

I made this card for the Caardvarks challenge. These trees are from a Fiskars stamp set I bought at JoAnn's. I used K&Co. Dp and the White Cardstock and Ripe Avocado cardstock are from papertrey Ink. The ribbon I purchased at Michaels on clearance. I am also entering this into the challenge at OCC to recycle. The button was from an old box of sewing things we salvaged. TFL!

A Cake for You!

This weeks challenge was to use cake or cupcakes. I had this adorable sticker and just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use it. The top note was cut by running the top note die by Sizzix purchased from SU through my cuttlebug. I stitched around the edges and added the ribbon and the sticker, then I added allt he buttons and stamped on the sentiment. TFL!

You, Me, and The Pink Elephant!

These last two weeks have been so hectic, last week the kids were out for spring break all week, we had so much fun, but I was so busy that there wasn't much time for stamping. The challenge this week was to recycle, and this barrett was recycled two times. First from my daughter who never wanted to wear it, and second from an old card I amde a long time ago, so recycle it I did. LOL! The buttons were recycled from an old sewing box that someone was throwing away and I salvaged it and found all kinds of goodies inside. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Yummy Strawberries!

This weeks has been so busy with the kids being home on Spring Break, and it seems like I haven't really had time to make cards this week. This is a card I made a while back and posted on SCS. I just love these fun strawberries on this card. Hope everyone is having a great week and hope to be more active next week when the kids are back in school.
