Shiny Red Cherries and The Pink Elephant!

One thing that we have seriously lacked close to where I live is a good craft store. I usually go to Michaels, or Wal-Mart, but if I want anything different than what they carry I have had to order it online, so Friday when JoAnn Fabrics opened their Super JoAnn I just had to go see what they had, and I just didn't know what to do with myself I was so happy in there. So many new things to look at the variety was AWESOME! This wonderful ribbon was one of those things I found that I just had to have.... It looks so yummy so this card for today was inspired using this wonderful ribbon.

I embossed the white cardstock using the mesh cuttlebug folder and cut out the SU top note and embossed using the oval scallop nestabilitie. I stamped the cherries from the Tart & Tangy stamp set and cut out the cherries and the leaf and pop dotted them, the cherries have been embossed using liquid embossing so they would be glossy. I also used a Martha Stewart punch for the border on the bottom of the card and added this fabulous ribbon, and I just couldn't resist stitching on the borders of the card.

I have been attacked by this horrible cold that is going around. With five kids it seems as if someone has been sick constantly for the last few weeks and I guess now it is my turn, I guess you can't take care of a housefull of sickies without finally coming down with it yourself. I sure can't wait for the flu/cold season to be over.

I love this Angela!! I think you need to send me that stamp and some ribbon. lol!! I am so into cherries lately. I think it is the red color, for some reason, I want everything red right now. I want to buy all red kitchen appliances and I want a red cellphone....weird!
I hope you get to feeling better soon!!!

First, congrats on the new store! They are great! We have a few new ones around here and they stock way more than I could ever imagine. Second, I was contemplating buying the mesh embossing plate and now seeing your card tells me to go forth with this decision. Especially since they are on sale for 40% off now. Third, your card is so precious! That cherry is delightful and the fabric ribbon is adorable. Just all around fun! Makes me smile.

This is so fab! Love the stitching on the embossed background, the popped cherries, the ribbon, and even those four fantastic red dew drops!! It is really unique and so fun and happy!

Hope you feel better soon. I'm getting over one of those colds myself and now my daughter has it. Yuck! Wish I could wave a magic wand and viruses would leave all of us alone! :>
