He Is My Refuge!

A couple of weeks ago I was privelaged and won this stamp set for the Anniversary of the CPS challenge. I received it in the mail today, and just had to make a quick card to show off my wonderful prize. This card only took me about 15 minutes. I stamped on the bg Kraft cs using my weathered SU bg. I stamped the main image onto the Kraft paper using Brown Stazon, added the dried flowers and cut out the two birds to add some texture. I also added these wonderful large eyelets using my crop-o-dile. The paper I used was Papertrey Ocean Tides and some Kraft paper I have had for a while.

Blue and Yellow Take Two!

Blue and yellow, these are colors that I think look so good together. This card was inspired by a bathroom my cousin has decorated blue and yellow, and so here is a card using these two colors and a cup of tea for her and I.. LOL! This sketch was from The Pink Elephant challenge. You are welcome to join them for their fun and inspiring challenges. This stamp set is from Flourishes, and I used liquid embossing to get the glossy look, they are also crackled a little to make them look like older cups. The large flourish is actually a rub-on by K&Co.

Card Details:
Carstock: Not Quite Navy (SU), Lemon tart, White Cardstock (PI)
DP: Poolside (MM)
Accessories: Ribbon, Rub-on (K&Co), Pearls, Rhinestones
Stamps: Flourishes

Shabby Mother's Day!

I just found this awsome sketch challenge from Card Patterns. I just had to try it. I am a fan of card sketches and this one was right up my ally. I found this awesome Marcella K dp and chipboard and it inspired this card for today. I used a lot of distressing and a lot of sponging on this card. I used the La Frances bg from SU and stamped it onto the dp, sponged it with Creamy Caramel ink and distressed the edges. I then sewed around the edges using my sewing machine. This has definitly become one of my favorites right up there with the cuttlebug. I have to pull it out almost every time I amke a card. The chipboard is also Marcella K and I used liquid embossing to make it stand out a little more.
Card Details:
Carstock: RiverRock (SU)
DP: Ancestory (MarcellaK)
Accessories: Chipboard (Marcella K), Ribbon, Pearls, Primas

Sweetest Gift!

Well, I am going to a birthday party tonight and needed a birthday card. So I combined the Verve challenge and the Cuttlebug Challenge and came up with this card. I just love this dp. I love the colors and the large polka dots. The Cuttlebug challenge was to emboss acetate, so the tag is acetate embossed with the Happy Birthday cuttlebug folder and the words Happy Birthday were cut out along with one of the small gifts. I had these large colored pearls by K&Co and they matched perfectly.

Card Details:
Cardstock: White (PI), Groovy Guava (SU), Acetate (PI)
DP:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Accessories: K&Co Pearls, Ribbon
Tools: Cuttlebug, Happy Birthday Embossing Folder

Green Valentine

I am combining three challenges for this card. The sketch is found at Friday Sketchers, the SCS Limited Supply challenge for today was to use green, and two or three embellishments. My only two embellishments were the ribbon and the flourish rubons. All the flowers, etc. were cut from the DP. The third challenge is from my blogger group and that is to make a Valentine Card using Non-traditional colors.

For the Love of Cards!

This card is for the Unity Hip Hop Challenge. I only have a couple of Christmas stamps that I ordered around Christmas time, therefore the Christmas theme. I just love this stamp, and had so much fun making this card. I used glitter for the y and paperpierced the holly twig and the ornament. I used liquid applique for the fluffies on the J. As I have mentioned before I am not a seamstress. I don't evern like to sew, but for the love of making cards I just have to sew... So in the process of making this card I decided to stitch along the bottom, needless to say I completly destroyed it and had to fix it.. therefore the paper edging along the bottom.. LOL! I kind of like it though... Also the challenge was to use three of any embilisment and I used 5 gems on the ornament.

Soft and Sweet!

I need a card for a baby shower this weekend so I decided to make a baby card. I made this card for the SCS Ways to Use It challenge, and decided to also use the sketch from Our Creative Corner. I loved this sketch, and will have to keep it in mind. I did change it around a little, but kept it within the basic sketch. I have had this dp for along time, and as the challenge was for stripes, I decided to pull it out. I have also had these stickers for FOREVER, and just had to use them.

Unique!

Well, today was the day for me to go to the dentist. I do not enjoy the dentist but it is one of those necessary evils... After the dentist I decided to come home and stamp. Not so sure that was a great idea as you can tell by looking at this card. I had a difficult time getting a picture I do like it much better IRL. This is also not the typical kind of card I make, but I actually kind of like it. It takes me away from the SOSO. I combined three challenges here. One was the Timeless Tuesday challenge using flowers. I added the little branch with the little flower and button for the cute little owl to perch on. Then I used the sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar, and the color challenge from the Color Throwdown. Here are all three challenges combined on one card. I usually layer and layer my papers but today decided to just add one piece of dp to the very vanilla cs. Wow, made my card much simpler.

Card Details:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Brilliant Blue
DP: Chloes Closet (Making Memories)
Stamps: Studio G, Forest Friends
Accessories: Cording (SU), small twig, flower sitcker (Chloe's Closet), Buttons (Chloe's Closet), Token (ideaology)

He Is My Strength!

Today I decided to do two challenges in one. I wanted to the sketch from 2sketches4you, and the mellow yellow challenge from the cuttlebug challenge. Since two of my favorite colors right now are yellow and grey I just had to use them together. I used dp from my Amy Butler paper pack and the cardstock I went with Going Gray and Lemon Tart. Love this combo. I used the Verve say I can do all thing throught Christ who strengthens me, and added this cute little butterfly I got at WalMart. Of course I had to use my cuttlebug and added the large dew drops. I am not sure how great this picture came out but couldn't seem to get it right.
Card Details:
Cardstock: Going Gray (SU), Lemon tart (PI), Whisper White (SU)
DP: Amy Butler (K&CO)
Stamps: Verve
Tools: Swiss Dots (Cuttlebug)

Elegant Thanks!

Todays card was made for the OCC challenge, the challenge from The Cuttlebug Spot, and the challenge for The Pink Elephant. Love this layout.. So fun to work with and absolutley love BLING. I bought this Amy Butler DP a while back at Michaels and have been wanting to use it, so I pulled it out today and decided to make an elegant thank you card with it.. I think this paper just screams Elegance so Elegant it had to be. Of course I couldn't resist cuttlebugging either, it is one of my favorite things to use. I also used the Papertrey Ink butterfly on vellum for the butterfly. Martha Stewart pearls for the corners and the beautiful rhinestones circle I got at walmart. Grey is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors right up there with yellow. So had to pull that one out today too.

I'm Stretched!

My card for today will fit into three different challenges. The first is SCS, the challenge was to stretch yourself, OK, monocromatic is DEFINITLY stretching myself... I used Papertrey Ink cardstock for this card. Love these colors... I also stretched myself by not using an image on my card. That is not something I normally do, I usually have an image somewhere on my card.
The second challenge is the Flourishes challenge. To use buttons on your card. In the right top corner I have added two buttons and on top of them I added two rhinestones to add some bling.
The third challenge is the Verve Sketch Challenge. The twist for this week was to use Moncromatic, and therefore making it fit into todays LS challenge also. Thanks for Looking and Hope everyone has a great Valentines Day. Also please hop on over to the Blog Carnival and check out all the wonderful Valentines Day projects.

Elegant Laugh!

Today I went looking for a corner rounder punch. I have been wanting one, but finding one around here seems almost impossible, so I went to the Scrabook store and got one, while I was there I found this awesome stamp set and this awesome dp, so my card today was inspired from my shopping experience. This is a great sketch posted on SCS. I also have to say that one of my favorite embellishments is rhinestones. They add so much sparkle to a card. I have several favorites but this is then one that I wanted to post in the OCC challenge. It is not hard to create a card around them. I seems like I pull them out for almost every card I make. LOL!

Hope, Comfort, and Fun!

So the one thing that I definitly can't do is sew. I try, but not matter what it seems it gets crooked. Todays card was made for the CPS challenge and I really struggled to finish this. I am not sure that I am happy with it still, but decided that enough is enough and gave up on it. I don't really have too much time today as I have a 2 yr. old daughter that is very sick today so I could only work on it in between having to take care of her. The dp I used on this card I purchased at Michaels in a paper pack by Ancestory. I love this line of paper, but it lends toward Shabby which is sometimes very hard for me to do. I used a decorative edge punch by Martha Stewart, and I used scalloped scissors to cut out the heart. The lace was a piece of lace I had in my ribbon stash. I added the prima with the metal accent and pearlized brad. I also added some Company K stickers I had that say Hope, Comfort, and Fun. I added some Martha Stewart pearls and here it is. I also want to say thank you to all those that have left me comments on my blog. All comments are so much appreciated.

I didn't have all the cs colors for the PI challenge so I decided to use this wonderful chipboard that I had and the colors seemed perfect, but I couldn't find any dp to match, so I decided to just go simple and let it stand up for itself.

So for the SCS Sketch challenge today I decided to make another card. I have seen these colors together and just loved them so I decided to make a card putting them together. Card Details:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Gray, Yellow

Coffee Polka

This card was made for the SCS sketch challenge and the Color Throwdown challenge. Last night as I was going trying to go to sleep my brain was going a million miles an hour. I just couldn't go to sleep and the idea of making a card by sewing on the big circles and also by making a panel by sewing on the strips of paper, and couldn't wait to make a card. I love how everything came out except I am not sure about the main image, I am not sure that it matches the rest of
the card, but didn't know what else to do so decided to leave it like it is. For the larger circles I used the 1 3/8 circle punch from SU and did some faux stitching. The strips were cut and stitched on using my sewing machine. THe smaller circles were made using the smallest circle from the circle nesties and faux stitched around those also. I cuttlebugged the small front panel using the swiss dots folder and stamped the cup from Coffee with Friends and cut it out and decorated it using rubons and rhinestones. Added the ribbon and some dangly charms. TFL!

Card Details:
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette (SU)
Stamps: Coffee With Friends (Verve)
Accessories: Ribbon, Charms, Rhinestones, Rubons
Techniques: Stitching, Faux Stitching, Paper piercing, Swiss dots (Cuttlebug)

Swirly Hearts

Another card for today. This card was made for the Flourishes Challenge, and for the Paper take weekly challenge . I wanted to make a soft card for this challenge and decided to use Pretty in Pink and white. I dry embossed the Whisper White cardstock using my cuttlebug folder and sponged over it with Pretty in Pink ink ot bring out the swirly letters. I embossed the flourishes heart using SU Winter White embossing powder and trimmed it with whisper white paper cut using scalloped scissors. I also used a paper piercer to pierce the scallops. I had this beautiful "Love" rhinestones from Marcella K and added it for the sentiment. I also added the pearls for added accent. I added a pink ribbon at the top. TFL!

Card Details:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink (SU)
Ink: Pretty in Pink, VersaMark (SU)
Accessories: Love Rhinestones (Marcella K), White Dimensional Pearls (Martha Stewart), Winter White Embossing Powder (SU), Ribbon
Stamps: Lace Heart (Flourishes)

Todays card is for the CPS sketch challenge. I found this paper and thought it was so pretty and decided to pull it out for this challenge. I love these colors together and this cupcake stamp is from Verve and is just so elegant looking so I wanted to put it with something more elegant. All the dp in this card is from the 6x6 Sabrina paper pack, and gem stickers are also Sabrina. I used a circle nestabilities to guide me when I added the pink gems around the cupcake.
